A specialised course that looks at the Office 2007 interface and generic functional changes.  It is especially suited to people with knowledge of previous versions of Microsoft Office.

Course participants will gain a sound understanding of:
  • The standard Ribbon interface

  • The Office button

  • Variable Ribbons

  • Launchers

  • Generic functions applied to most Office 2007 applications

  • Both theoretical and practical examples are covered in the course

Topics covered by this course include:

  • New ribbon interface

  • Quick Access toolbar - inc positioning, adding/deleting new commands via QAT, options and ribbon

  • Office button - inc overview and options function

  • Launchers (legacy style access to functions)

  • Variable ribbons (ribbons that appear when items are selected ie pictures, smart art etc)

  • Live Preview

  • SmartArt

  • Status Bar

  • General similarities/differences discussed

 

Prerequisites
Previous knowledge of Microsoft Office recommended.
